Chat Support

Too much - Let's Chat

It certainly is too much for me many days! I am NOT a doctor but have been living with MCAS for decades before even knowing what it was. Always wish, I could get support (a little talk therapy) during all this trial and error. Even once I found a doctor (which I love, love, love) I still found it hard to talk through things as appointments are so far out.

Talk Support

A little chit chat with someone who has been through this longer than you have probably been alive can go a long way to helping your situation.

New to MCAS

Want to talk about your new diagnosis (or maybe you haven't been fully diagnosed yet) MCAS and how to move forward?

Food

This is a big one! What to eat what not to. It's not what you think.... And to give you the quick answer it's different for everyone. How do you figure it out?

Helping Your Loved One

It's not just your loved one whose world has changed - yours has too! How to help, not be mifted or confused, and not feel alone.

How To Move Forward

Seriously, how to move forward when dealing with such uncertainty is not easy to navigate. We can talk this out.

Mindset Matters

How we deal with any obstacle provides an insight into the outcome. Let's talk this through.

Community

Simply, it is nice to know we are not alone in dealing with this. There is someone you can reach out to for support and knowledge - but no doctor's advise.

FAQ

Do I have the answers to medication?

No, but together or as a community we can help by sharing what has worked and what has not. Sometimes just changing the time of day you take a medicine can help. We can learn from each other.

Why did you start this group support (chat)?

I needed this but could not find it anywhere and as the saying goes Necessity is the mother of invention. Not knowing anyone who understood (sometimes who even believed) was difficult. So here we are - a group, a team, a support system.

Are you a Doctor?

I want to be absolutely clear, I am NOT a doctor. I am a fellow MCAS person and my symptoms started as a child so have dealt with it for five decades (ok maybe six but who's counting ; )).

Whats my best tip?

Listen to your body, listen, listen, listen. If an egg makes you feel bad but the doctors say eggs are good for you. Go with what your body is telling you (always)!

This is not karma - you do not deserve to be suffering. Know this, own this, and move forward with this is part of your life but not who you are.
